Hip Hop charts : Lil wayne tops billboards

Lil’ Wayne Tops Billboard Again, G-Unit Break 100k.

After three weeks on sale Lil’ Wayne’s "Tha Carter III" has retaken the top spot on The Billboard 200 chart this week. The Cash Money/Universal set has sold a further 156,000 units taking total sales to 1.68 million in the United States.

G-Unit’s latest album, "T.O.S. (Terminate On Sight)" (G-Unit/Interscope), made its debut on the charts this week at No. 4 after selling 102,000 units, a far cry from their 2003 album "Beg For Mercy," which debuted at No. 1 upon its release selling 377,000 copies.

Other notable movements on the chart this week include Usher’s "Here I Stand" (LaFace/Zomba) which dropped from 7 to 8 after moving 41,000 units, Rihanna’s "Good Girl Gone Bad" (SRP/Def Jam) jumps from 10 to 9 selling 40,000 copies and Tech N9ne, who received his highest charting position and best sales week with "Killer" (Strange Music/Fontana) after debuting at No. 12 and selling 36,000 copies. Jim Jones & Byrd Gang’s "M.O.B. : The Album" (Asylum) also made its debut this week reaching No. 29 and moving 17,000 units.
