GZA Offers Support To Marijuana Policy Project

On June 12th, Wu-Tang Clan's GZA has pledged support with an appearance at The Marijuana Policy Project's third annual open event at Los Angeles' legendary Playboy Mansion.

The Marijuana Policy Project is an advocate to stop the war on marijuana, an effort that has caused casualties and fatalities on criminal victims. MPP board members include former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, actor Jack Black and others. The event last year featured Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder [click to read], veteran Hip Hop producer and Friday writer DJ Pooh, and actor Cedric Yarbrough [click to read], among others.

"This is a historic statement by one of the world's most respected physician groups, and shows the growing scientific consensus that marijuana is a safe, effective medicine for some patients, including many battling life-threatening illnesses like cancer and AIDS," said former United States Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders.
