Mulatto Patriot Has Eyes Set On Sonic Visuals Upcoming Release

Sonic Visuals, the debut album for multi-faceted producer Mulatto Patriot, is set for October 21st release.

Miami, Florida US
– September 29, 2008 – Chicago-based producer Mulatto Patriot readies for the October 21st release of his debut album, Sonic Visuals. The album consists of 19 songs (plus 1 bonus track) where Mulatto Patriot canvases an eclectic blend of electric sounds, bounce-heavy beats, and melodic soultry while delivering the character of the urban streets. Released independently under his own production house, Mulatto Patriot Productions, Sonic Visuals enlists an international cast of guest appearances such as Canadian femcee Eternia, turntablist DJ Goersch and de:joese from Germany, alongside underground giants Ras Kass, Pumpkinhead (Brooklyn Academy), Casual (Hieroglyphics), Decay (molemen), Pugslee Atomz, and more. The music video for his most recent single, “Cadillac Vinyl” featuring Czar Absolute and Maggie Vagle, has spread through various online outlets including OnSmash.com and France’s largest blog, RapCypher.com.

"There is a lot to take from this album…diversity in the styles displayed and in the selection of beats. I want people to know that this is 100% Chicago Hip-Hop." – Mulatto Patriot

His collaborations around the Chicago area have gained him notable recognition, which catapulted with the release of his first single, “Showtime.” Featuring Prosper Jones and Mena, the music video, directed by Chicago radio icon Pugslee Atomz, received worldwide airplay, from Philly and Seattle, to Australia and Germany, and has already received an Unsigned Contest Award. The official album release concert is scheduled for November 1st at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago, with performances from album guests Pugs, Intel, Awdazcate, Decay, Prosper Jones, and Czar Absolute (with live band Animate Objects), and more. Follow-up spot-date shows are being scheduled for all major cities across the US, including New York and Los Angeles.

About Mulatto Patriot

Mulatto Patriot was born in Hyde Park on the Southside of Chicago, where he was raised by the influential sounds of Jazz, moody blues, and soulful house, eventually evolving into a deep-rooted passion for Hip-Hop. His music aspirations lead him to study at Full Sail World Education in Orlando where he improved his production and learned about the business. In 2003, MP returned to Chicago and launched his own production house, Mulatto Patriot Productions. He began engineering and producing for a variety of artists and experienced much success. However, MP’s focus suddenly changed when a fatal health complication left him in a coma for six weeks. Despite the incident, it served as a launching pad for the young artists’ career, now, at the age of 29, as he prepares for his debut release, Sonic Visuals. The album features a long list of accomplished artists including Ras Kass, Casual (Hieroglyphics), Pumpkinhead (Brooklyn Academy), Decay (molemen) and Pugslee Atomz, which keep the music diverse and reflecting different styles.
